Kelsey Rich began her dog training career in 2014 when she was hired by a large dog training academy in Austin, TX where she earned her Level 1 Trainer’s Certification. In this role, she focused on basic through advanced obedience, facilitated purposeful playgroups, and managed “stress-less” boarding. In 2015, she found herself back in Philadelphia and joined the Philly Unleashed team.
Kelsey is especially adept at reading canine body language and facilitating learning, even through high levels of distraction. Kelsey also loves teaching owners why their dogs exhibit common nuisance behaviors and communicating with owners on how to work through these in an effective and positive manner. Kelsey’s specialty is working with dog to dog aggression and leash reactivity. She currently teaches Philly Unleashed’s reactive dog classes.
Kelsey holds a dual degree in Sociology and Psychology from Rutgers University, and is passionate about continuing education. She currently lives in South Philadelphia with her rescued dog, Roswell, and her cat, Pietro. In her spare time, Kelsey loves running and crafting and is fixing up her first home.
